Tenancy Audits

As part of our drive to improve service to our customers, Bushbury Hill Estate Management Board is carrying out tenancy audits at all Council properties on our estate.

Tenancy Audits give our tenants an opportunity to raise any problems that they may have in relation to their tenancy with a Tenancy Team officer. It also gives the officer the opportunity to ensure that the legal tenant is living in the property and that no sub letting or any other activity that contravenes the Tenancy Agreement is taking place. Regular tenancy audits are good practice for housing management organisations.

We will also collect information about who is living in the household, the condition of the property and any problems that the tenant feels we may be able to help them with. We will use this information to help us better tailor our services to tenants and also deal with matters that need attention.

We started conducting tenancy audits across the estate in October 2009 and our tenancy team are visiting about 16 homes per week. We anticipate it will take around two years to complete the whole estate, so every tenant will receive an appointment letter between now and October 2011.

When you receive an appointment letter, it will explain what the visit involves and also give you a time and date that we will visit you. There will also be a customer questionnaire which we would like you to fill out before the visit.

If you cannot make the appointment, please call the number on the letter to rearrange. If we do not hear from you, we will make efforts to rearrange at a later date, as tenancy audits are a condition of your tenancy agreement with Wolverhampton City Council. If you have any questions about tenancy audits please contact Natalie Slawson on 01902 550685 or use the ‘contact’ form on this site.
