Tony Blakeway - Board Member
I have been involved in the local community, particularly Housing, for twenty years. I helped set up the Bushbury Hill tenants and residents association which went on to bring regeneration money into the area and we then created the first ever Estate Development Board, of which I was Chair. Seeing the transformation of the estate I had grown up on was an amazing opportunity.
I was an original board member of Bushbury Hill Estate Management Board when the EMB started ten years ago. I have also been a Board Member of Wolverhampton Homes and currently Chair the North East Area Housing Forum, along with being involved with the local Community Centre and Credit Union.
Over the years I have visited many other Housing providers across the country and received training in all aspects of housing and the associated laws. I look forward to learning more and the development of both the Estate and Community I am so proud to have grown up in.
