All of our Board Members are volunteers and give Bushbury Hill the benefit of their experiences of living on or around the estate for most of their lives. They are passionate about Bushbury Hill and dedicate a lot of time to making our estate a happy and safe place to live. They are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to tenant rights!
Your Board for the year 2019 / 2020 year:
My involvement started back in the early 1990’s due to a lack of repairs and assistance from the local council. I was a founder member of the Tenants and Residents Association and we developed the housing side becoming Bushbury Hill EMB in April 1998 I was elected as The Chair Person and have been here ever since. I enjoy the daily challenges of being Chair of Bushbury Hill with no two days the same. 2019 is our 21st birthday I look forward to many more Bushbury Hill birthdays.
Ann has lived on the estate for many years, raising her family here. Her passion for the estate and the children who live on it are amazing. For many years Ann was involved in voluntary work raising funds to improve the lives of the estates children.Education trips and away days have been Ann’s focus to ensure the children have as fulfilling and rounded childhood as possible.
I moved to Bushbury Hill with my family back in 1993 where I raised my two children. I’ve worked all my life in Engineering where over the years I climbed the ladder and achieved my goal of been a Quality manager for a local company. I had to give this up Due to ill health, so I decided to become a board member to get involved to try and make Bushbury Hill a better and safer place to live. I also sit on the partnering board meetings to do with repairs which I find very rewarding.
I have lived on the estate all my life. I raised my family on the estate and my children still live here with their families. I joined the Board in 2009 and as my main interest is in building works, I am a member of the Home Standards Group, which looks at repairs and maintenance issues. I am enjoying being part of the Board as it means I can be involved in decisions taken about the management of the estate I live in.I am also a keen photographer and in recent years have taken photos for BHEMB during events, including our Fun Days
I have lived on the Bushbury Hill Estate for 12 years now.My hobbies include: knitting, sewing and cake decorating. I love having my family around me and look after my youngest grandson on a regular basis. As my own children are now adults, I find myself with a bit of time on my hands and want to put my energy into giving something back to the community. I am fully committed to being a Board member of the E.M.B. and strive to help to make our estate a nicer, safer place to live.
Bushbury Hill is where four generations of my family live and I am proud to call it home. A lot of volunteer effort has gone in to making Bushbury Hill a great place to live and I am proud of my family’s involvement in the transformation of our Estate. I look forward to the future and the new opportunities it will bring.
James has been a board member since 2014. He lives on the estate with his wife and Children and is keen to do what he can to make the estate and community a safe and happy place to live.
I moved to Bushbury Hill in 1993 where I raised my 2 children. I became a Board member in 2011 after witnessing my husband, Derek's satisfaction at being involved and sharing his enthusiasm for wanting to make the estate a nice place to live. I work full time, so cannot commit as much time as I would like but attend full Board meetings and am kept up to date with what is happening
I originally lived in Wednesfield but have lived on the Bushbury Hill Estate for nearly 20 years.
